KANSAS — A Powerball ticket sold in Kansas won $200,000 in Saturday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.

The drawing took place Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, and the winning numbers were 5, 8, 27, 49, 57, with a Powerball of 14. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 4x, which increased the prize amount for the Kansas ticket.

Lottery officials have not yet released where in Kansas the winning ticket was sold. The ticket matched enough numbers to secure the $200,000 prize, and the winner is encouraged to sign the back of the ticket and contact the Kansas Lottery to begin the claims process.

No ticket matched all six numbers, so the jackpot rolled over. The estimated jackpot for the next drawing is $193 million, with a cash value of $87.9 million.

Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with drawings held three times a week. Kansas Lottery officials remind players that prizes must be claimed within the timeframe established by state law.
