OHIO — Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon following the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Youngstown, according to police.
A report from the Youngstown Police Department states officers served a search warrant at a home in the 1100 block of Springdale Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. During the search, police located and detained two individuals identified as Herbert Shelton, 44, and Tammy Vanfossan, 42.
Police said a search of the residence uncovered baggies containing crack cocaine and cocaine, pill bottles holding heroin and various pills, multiple firearms, Suboxone strips, digital scales, credit cards, and cash. All items were seized as evidence.
Shelton was arrested on multiple drug possession charges, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and having weapons under disability. Police said Shelton is a convicted felon, which prohibits him from legally possessing firearms.
