TEXAS — Two Powerball tickets sold in Texas each won $1 million in Wednesday night’s drawing, according to lottery officials.
The drawing was held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026. The winning numbers were 6, 24, 39, 43, and 51, with the Powerball number 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. The two Texas tickets matched all five white balls but did not include the Power Play option, resulting in $1 million prizes for each ticket.
Officials with Powerball said the tickets were sold at Texas retailers, though specific locations had not been released as of Thursday.
No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, which was estimated at $179 million for the Jan. 14 drawing. The cash value option for the jackpot was approximately $80.8 million.
Players are reminded that winning tickets must be claimed through the Texas Lottery within the required claim period. Lottery officials also advise winners to sign the back of their ticket and consider consulting financial and legal professionals before claiming large prizes.
