TENNESSEE — A Powerball ticket sold in Tennessee matched five numbers plus the Power Play in Wednesday night’s drawing, earning a $2 million prize.
The drawing was held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026. The winning numbers were 6, 24, 39, 43, and 51, with the Powerball number 2. The Power Play multiplier was 2x, which doubled the standard $1 million Match 5 prize to $2 million.
Officials with Powerball said the ticket was sold at a Tennessee retailer, though the exact location of the winning sale had not been publicly identified as of Thursday.
No ticket matched all six numbers to claim the jackpot, which was estimated at $179 million for the Jan. 14 drawing. The cash value option for the jackpot was approximately $80.8 million.
Lottery officials remind players that prizes must be claimed within the time limits set by the Tennessee Lottery and advise winners to sign the back of their ticket and seek professional financial guidance before claiming large prizes.
