PENNSYLVANIA — Several Pennsylvania school districts have announced schedule changes for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, including delayed starts and a shift to remote learning, as districts respond to weather and road conditions.
Abington Heights School District will operate on a two-hour delay Thursday. District officials said the delay will follow a modified kindergarten schedule, allowing staff additional time to assess conditions before students arrive.
Jersey Shore Area School District will also open on a two-hour delay. The district noted that breakfast will be servedto students once schools are in session, despite the later start.
Meanwhile, Southern Tioga School District will conduct remote learning for the day. Students will not report to school buildings and are expected to follow their established online instructional schedules.
