FLORIDA — Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman injured Tuesday night in Titusville.
According to the Titusville Police Department, the shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Maxwell Street. Officers responding to the scene found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said officers immediately began life-saving measures before the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment. An update provided by the department Wednesday morning stated that the victim is expected to survive her injuries.
Following the shooting, detectives interviewed witnesses and canvassed the surrounding neighborhood in an effort to gather information and identify a suspect. Investigators said they are continuing to seek tips from the public as the investigation remains ongoing.
