KENTUCKY — An Edmonson County woman has been charged following an investigation that led deputies to discover suspected explosives and drugs at a residence.
According to a uniform citation from the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded Monday to the 100 block of Fox Wood Court to serve an arrest warrant for a male subject. When deputies arrived, they spoke with a woman identified as a relative of 46-year-old Jenny Durbin of Bee Spring.
Deputies reported witnessing a person enter the home and drop a backpack on the front porch. Authorities said they were given consent to search the residence, where they located what appeared to be a foil pipe and marijuana inside the home.
According to deputies, additional backpacks found on the porch contained a military-grade explosive igniter, suspected methamphetamine, and a glass pipe with residue. Authorities said Durbin claimed ownership of the backpacks.
Durbin was arrested and transported to the Hart County Jail. Formal charges were not listed in the citation, and the investigation remains ongoing.
