
VIRGINIA — The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect following an assault and robbery that left a man hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies received a call around 11 p.m. on Jan. 8 regarding an individual being treated at Lynchburg General Hospital. Authorities said the victim suffered severe injuries, including facial fractures. The victim told investigators he had been visiting a friend in the Nash’s Lane area of Gladys when he was violently assaulted.
Investigators said the victim identified Eric Julian Reynolds and James Timothy Scott as the assailants. After the attack, authorities said the suspects took personal items belonging to the victim.
Deputies later executed a search warrant at a residence on Nash’s Lane, which led to the arrest of Eric Julian Reynolds. He is facing multiple charges, including robbery, malicious wounding, grand larceny, and credit card theft.
James Timothy Scott remains wanted on the same charges. Authorities are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers.
Officials confirmed that the victim and the suspects were known to each other prior to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
