West Virginia school closings for Monday

0

WEST VIRGINIA — Schools in parts of West Virginia will follow adjusted schedules on Monday, January 12, 2026, due to scheduled academic events and a weather-related delay in one county.

According to Boone County Schools, students will not report to school on Monday because it is the district’s annual Parent-Teacher Conference Day, which is held between the first and second semesters.

Teachers will still report to their assigned schools and will be on duty from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. In-person parent-teacher conferences will be available from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., giving families an opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss student progress.

Friday, January 9, marked the final day of the second nine weeks and the conclusion of the first semester in Boone County. Report cards for the first semester are scheduled to be distributed to students on Friday, January 16.

Separately, all schools in Pendleton County will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, January 12, 2026.
