OHIO — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a train that occurred Sunday evening in Clark County.
According to an OSHP dispatcher, state troopers from the Springfield Post responded to the scene just after 5:45 p.m. The crash was reported in the 1200 block of Fletcher Pike.
Details about how the crash occurred, whether any vehicles or pedestrians were involved, and the extent of any injuries have not yet been released. Authorities also have not said if the train sustained damage or if rail traffic was impacted.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as it becomes available.
