OHIO — The Sidney Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred late Saturday night in Sidney, leaving one man in critical condition.
According to police, officers were dispatched around 11:30 p.m. to the 400 block of Jefferson Street following a report of a stabbing. When officers and Sidney Fire personnel arrived at the scene, they found a 42-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the neck and bleeding.
Police said the incident stemmed from an altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation, during which a knife was used. The victim was initially transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment before being transferred to Miami Valley Hospital. Authorities said the man was listed in critical but stable condition.
No additional details about possible suspects or arrests have been released. The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not indicated whether charges are pending.
