
ALABAMA — A Sylvania man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Jackson County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Authorities said the crash occurred just before 2:30 p.m. on Alabama 78 near Letson Point Drive, approximately three miles north of Hytop. Investigators said a pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Nevan Hall of Sylvania left the roadway and struck a tree.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene, ALEA said.
A passenger in the vehicle was injured in the crash and was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. The extent of the passenger’s injuries was not released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
