KENTUCKY — A man was killed after being shot multiple times late Friday morning in the Park DuValle neighborhood, marking Louisville’s first homicide of 2026.
According to Louisville Metro Police Department, the shooting occurred around 11 a.m. in the 1500 block of South 31st Street, just west of Algonquin Park.
Police said officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical aid at the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead there. The victim’s name has not been released.
Investigators said there are no known suspects at this time. K9 units were deployed in the area as part of the search, and the department’s Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
