SOUTH CAROLINA — An 18-year-old man and two juveniles were arrested in Florence County in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Octavious Simmons-Hawkins, 18, of Florence, was taken into custody Wednesday along with two juveniles. Simmons-Hawkins is charged with nine counts of breaking into motor vehicles, seven counts of criminal conspiracy, and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Authorities said Simmons-Hawkins is alleged to have broken into multiple vehicles during that period and was accompanied by two juveniles on at least six of the incidents.

Both juveniles were also arrested and are currently in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justicein Columbia, officials said.

Simmons-Hawkins is being held at the Florence County Detention Center on a $100,000 surety bond.
