
PENNSYLVANIA — A deadly two-vehicle crash involving a horse-and-buggy occurred Wednesday afternoon in eastern Lancaster County, prompting a multi-hour road closure while investigators worked the scene.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on the 4000 block of Strasburg Road, also known as Route 741, in Salisbury Township, near the intersection with Hoover Road.
State police said a Lancaster Patrol unit, along with the Troop J Forensic Services Unit and the Troop J Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists Unit, responded to investigate the crash. Details about the vehicles involved and the victim have not been released.
Strasburg Road was shut down in both directions for several hours as the investigation continued. The roadway reopened around 5 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
