
OHIO — Police were called to the intersection of Route 224 and Pheasant Drive in Boardman around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday following a multi-vehicle crash that tied up traffic in the area.
According to officers on scene, first responders discovered a six-vehicle collision near the Golf Headquarters on Boardman–Canfield Road.
An initial investigation indicated that one driver ran a red light while attempting to turn left onto Route 224. During the attempted turn, the vehicle was struck by another car and then went on to collide with four additional vehicles.
Traffic in the area was restricted to one lane Wednesday evening as crews worked to clear the scene and remove damaged vehicles.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Canfield Police Department responded to the crash.
Police said one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
