
OHIO — A ninth-grade student was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being struck by a vehicle outside Wayne High School in Huber Heights.
According to the Huber Heights Police, emergency crews were dispatched to the school around 7:20 a.m. following reports that a juvenile had been hit by a vehicle near the campus.
Police said the student was riding a scooter at the time of the incident and was struck by a vehicle after failing to yield. The driver remained at the scene following the crash, authorities said.
The student was transported to Dayton Children’s Hospital with minor injuries. Police said no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
