$50,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A Circleville man is celebrating a major lottery win after turning a $10 scratch-off ticket into a $50,000 prize, according to the Ohio Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kroger #844, located at 175 Lancaster Pike. The ticket was for the $500,000 Bankroll scratch-off game, which costs $10 per play.

After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 26.75 percent were withheld, the winner will receive a net payout of $36,625.

As of January 2, 2026, the Ohio Lottery reports that two top prizes of $500,000 and nine second-tier prizes of $50,000 remain available in the $500,000 Bankroll game.
