Three people injured following shooting incident in Indiana

INDIANA — Three people were injured in a shooting late Monday afternoon on South Bend’s northeast side, according to police.

Officers with the South Bend Police Department were called around 4 p.m. to the 600 block of North Frances Street after reports of shots fired. When officers arrived at the scene, they found three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police said one of the victims appears to have sustained serious injuries. The conditions of the other two victims were not immediately released.

Authorities have not said whether a suspect is in custody. Investigators are continuing to gather information, but police said there does not appear to be any ongoing threat to the public at this time.
