INDIANA — Two people were killed in a shooting on Indianapolis’ east side Saturday morning, according to police.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded around 7 a.m. to the 3200 block of Hawthorne Lane after receiving a report of a person shot. When officers arrived at the scene, they found four victims suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
Police said two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining two victims were injured; their conditions were not immediately released.
The shooting occurred on the east side of Indianapolis. Investigators have not released information about a suspect or what may have led up to the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation, and police have not released the identities of the victims.
