
NORTH CAROLINA — One person was killed and two others were injured following a crash Friday afternoon in Fayetteville, police said.
Officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were called just before 12:45 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Cliffdale Road near Regency Drive. When officers arrived, they found two vehicles that had collided, police said.
Three people involved in the crash were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment. One of those individuals later died at the hospital. The names of those involved have not been released.
Police said Cliffdale Road was closed between Bunce and Pritchett roads while officers investigated the crash. The roadway was expected to reopen by about 4 p.m. Drivers were advised to avoid the area during the closure.
