$500,000 Powerball winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — In the latest Powerball drawing held on Monday, Nov. 4, no one claimed the $63 million jackpot. However, one lucky Ohio player did secure a substantial win, taking home $500,000.

The Ohio Lottery announced that the winning ticket was sold at Smoker’s Paradise in Bellefontaine, located in Logan County.

Here’s a breakdown of Ohio winners from the Monday drawing:

  • $500,000 prize: 1 winner
  • $1,000 prize: 6 winners
  • $100 prize: 9 winners
  • $70 prize: 221 winners
  • $40 prize: 2,606 winners
  • $7 prize: 392 winners
  • $4 prize: 4,306 winners

Outside Ohio, a $1 million winning ticket was sold in California, Powerball officials report.

The winning numbers in Monday’s draw were 6, 18, 33, 48, and 53, with the Powerball number 21. The Power Play multiplier was 10x, adding extra winnings for select non-jackpot prizes.

With no jackpot winner, the Powerball prize now rises to $75 million for the upcoming drawing on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 10:59 p.m.

The cash option for the new jackpot stands at $35.4 million.

Lottery officials note that the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.

However, the odds of winning a $1 million prize are somewhat more favorable, at one in 11.7 million. Despite the long odds, each drawing brings the possibility of major winnings for lucky ticket holders.
