$500,000 lottery ticket sold in Ohio Monday

OHIO — A lucky Ohio Lottery player has won the $500,000 top prize playing the new scratch-off game, Home for the Holidays.

The winning ticket was purchased at Suburban Mart, located at 1125 East State Street in Salem.

After mandatory state and federal taxes of 28 percent, the winner will take home approximately $360,000.

Home for the Holidays is a $10 scratch-off game with a top prize of $500,000. As of December 23, three top prizes remain unclaimed.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to support education across the state.
