INDIANA — Two people were found dead inside a residence in New Castle on Wednesday, according to local authorities.
The New Castle Police Department responded to a home at 2525 S. 23rd Street after receiving a report of two deceased individuals. Officers confirmed upon arrival that both residents, identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Neal and 77-year-old Sheri Burgess, had died.
The Henry County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, and autopsies are pending to determine the cause of death.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing but believe the incident to be isolated, with no threat to the public.
