GEORGIA — The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says two people are dead and another is injured following a shooting Saturday afternoon.
Deputies responded to a report of a male being shot near Martin Villa Drive and Pleasant Hill Road.
The male victim is being treated for his injuries.
During the subsequent search for a female suspect, deputies say dispatch reported a woman matching the description hiding in a yard on Pulliam Mill Road. An automobile accident occurred near the same location. Another male victim was found dead with a gunshot wound. The female suspect also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is leading the ongoing investigation.
