MISSISSIPPI — Two Tupelo residents were arrested following an unusual discovery at a local business earlier this month, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on Dec. 20 at the U-Haul facility on East Main Street. Employees arriving at the business found two individuals, later identified as Michael Keith, 55, and Rhonda Berryhill, 52, sleeping inside a box truck parked on the property.
Employees told the pair to leave the premises. Afterward, workers reported that items were missing from another vehicle located on the property.
Tupelo police were notified and conducted an investigation. Keith and Berryhill were later located and arrested. Authorities said both individuals face charges related to narcotics possession as well as vehicle burglary.
No further details about the missing items or the specific narcotics charges were released. The case remains under investigation.
