Two people arrested after stealing fiber optic cable in Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI — Two men have been charged with grand larceny following a weekend theft in Tupelo, police said.

According to the Tupelo Police Department, officers arrested Jimmy Thrasher, 58, of Verona, and Michael Gilmore, 35, of Tupelo, on Tuesday in connection with two theft reports received Sunday on Graystone Drive.

Investigators said one of the victims reported that two individuals had stolen fiber optic cable from the area.

Thrasher and Gilmore were both charged with grand larceny as the investigation continues.
