WEST VIRGINIA — A year-long drug investigation in Wayne County has resulted in three arrests and the seizure of thousands of dollars in illegal drugs and a firearm, according to the Kenova Police Department.

Jaydyn Nichole Reese, 24, of Kenova, along with Charlie Christian Luckett, 27, and Steve Duane Burkett, 36, both of Detroit, were taken into custody and face multiple charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics.

The arrests came after police received numerous complaints of drug activity along 19th Street in Kenova.

Officers executed a search warrant at an apartment where they discovered approximately $26,000 worth of heroin, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, along with a firearm.

During the operation, one suspect attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended by law enforcement.

The other two suspects were arrested inside the apartment. A vehicle search also uncovered additional narcotics, police said.

All three individuals were transported to Western Regional Jail, with each held on a $250,000 bond.

Kenova police are urging anyone with information about illegal drug activity in the area to call 304-453-5555.
