Thousands without power following storms in Ohio

OHIO — Thousands of residents were left without power Sunday night as storms and heavy rain moved through the region.

According to FirstEnergy, nearly 6,000 customers in Lorain County lost power Sunday evening. Most of those outages were restored before 11 p.m., but some areas remained without service into Monday morning.

As of 9 a.m. Monday, FirstEnergy reported the following outage totals:

  • Cuyahoga County: 1,180
  • Geauga County: 180
  • Lake County: 881
  • Lorain County: 21
  • Portage County: 41

Cleveland Public Power reported no widespread outages Monday morning. Crews continued working to restore remaining power interruptions across the affected counties.
