TENNESSEE — Chapman Highway is closed in both directions Tuesday afternoon following a crash near Boyds Creek Highway that left six people injured.

According to the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, all six individuals involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation.

Authorities said the highway was shut down in both directions as crews worked to clear the scene and assess those involved. As of around 3:40 p.m., officials indicated that the northbound lanes were expected to reopen soon.

Drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while emergency personnel remained on scene.
