Police seize large amount of meth following traffic stop in Mississippi

MISSISSIPPI — Harrison County deputies discovered more than 120 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 10 near Pass Christian, authorities said Thursday.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, deputies pulled over a car hauler near mile marker 24 on Wednesday. During the stop, they searched a Honda Odyssey being transported on the hauler and found 123 pounds of methamphetamine concealed inside the vehicle.

Investigators believe the drugs were headed to Gulfport.

Harrison County Narcotics Investigators said the driver of the hauler is not considered a suspect and was released. The investigation remains ongoing.
