TENNESSEE — Metro Nashville Police Department officials have added De’Tynn Smith, 21, to their weekly “Most Wanted” list, citing multiple felony charges including first-degree premeditated murder, attempted first-degree premeditated murder, aggravated robbery, and using a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony.

Smith has a history of criminal activity in Nashville. In 2022, he and another man, Alan Beverly, were charged with carjacking, evading arrest, and vehicle theft after allegedly threatening an 8-year-old child at gunpoint during a carjacking on Jefferson Street.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle at a Walmart on Dickerson Pike, and both suspects fled on foot before being apprehended.

Smith has previously appeared multiple times on the MNPD “Most Wanted” list, including as the Top Most Wanted fugitive in 2023. He was last added back to the list in December 2024.

The MNPD updates its “Most Wanted” list weekly on the Criminal Warrants Division’s Facebook page. Since its launch in October 2022, approximately 180 individuals on the list have been captured or surrendered, including arrests outside the county or state. In 2025 alone, more than 25 arrests have been made from the list.

Police are asking anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts to contact the MNPD at 615-862-8600 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
