Pennsylvania school closings and delays for Wednesday

0

PENNSYLVANIA — Several school districts and educational programs across Pennsylvania will have delayed openings or remote learning on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, due to winter weather and related concerns.

Charis Academy, Gillingham Charter School, Hazleton Area Schools, Mahanoy Area Schools—including all transportation—MMI Preparatory, and North Schuylkill Schools will open two hours late. New City School and Logos Academy in Dauphin County, Harrisburg, will also delay morning classes by two hours.

Some schools are moving to remote instruction for the day. Verna Montessori School in Fayette County, Mt. Pleasant, will operate entirely as a remote learning day, while Fortis Institute in Scranton is offering remote learning for evening hybrid programs, with other classes canceled.

Families are encouraged to monitor local school communications for updates and plan for additional travel time during the delayed openings.
