NORTH CAROLINA — A crash on Interstate 85 northbound caused lane closures and traffic delays Thursday morning near the Interstate 485 interchange, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Officials said the crash occurred near Exit 30, where the two right lanes of I-85 North were closed. The incident was reported around 8:09 a.m., and the closures were expected to remain in place until approximately noon.
Authorities have not released details about how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was injured.
Police responded to the scene, and drivers were urged to avoid the area or expect significant delays. Officials also advised motorists traveling through the corridor to allow extra time or seek alternate routes.
