
MISSISSIPPI — A shooting Thursday evening in Corinth left one person injured and a suspect in custody, authorities said.
Corinth police reported that the incident occurred at a home on Martin Luther King Drive.
Officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim was taken to a hospital in Tupelo for surgery.
Police arrested 20-year-old Jakyilan Hill at the home and charged him with aggravated assault. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
