INDIANA — A woman is in critical condition following a shooting Thursday morning on the east side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded around 7:20 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4800 block of N. Ritter Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
