
MISSISSIPPI — An 18-wheeler driver was shot during a road rage incident Tuesday morning on Interstate 20 in the Jackson area, according to police.
The shooting happened on I-20 westbound between Ellis Avenue and Highway 18, authorities said. Investigators with the Jackson Police Department reported that the victim was driving an 18-wheeler when a passenger in another 18-wheeler fired a gun.
After being shot, the driver continued traveling west and drove to Clinton, where the incident was reported to law enforcement. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Police said the suspect or suspects involved have not yet been identified, and no further details about the shooter or the second vehicle were immediately available. The incident occurred along Interstate 20, a major east-west roadway through central Mississippi.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional information.
