OHIO — A woman was hospitalized early Friday morning after crashing her SUV into the front of the Little Wiz Fire Museum in Medina.
According to the Medina Police Department, the crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. on East Smith Road.
When officers arrived, they found a black SUV partially inside the building, having breached the exterior wall.
Police said the driver, a woman in her twenties, veered off the road and struck the museum. She was taken to Medina Hospital with injuries. One person inside the building at the time was able to escape without harm.
Investigators believe speed and impairment were factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Firefighters also responded to the scene to help stabilize the structure following the impact.
