MISSISSIPPI — A pedestrian was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at a busy intersection in Hattiesburg.
According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, officers responded to the crash shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Hardy Street and Hutchinson Avenue.
Authorities said the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Police reported that the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
