MISSISSIPPI — Jackson police are investigating after a woman was found dead Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Aug. 28 in the 6000 block of Interstate 55 near Beasley Road, according to the Jackson Police Department.
Detective Tommie Brown said the woman, described as white, was found deceased at the scene but has not yet been identified. A preliminary investigation showed no signs of blunt trauma on her body.
