MISSISSIPPI — A man was found dead inside a vehicle late Wednesday night in Vicksburg, according to the Vicksburg Police Department.
Officers responded to a call around 11:15 p.m. on February 11, 2026, on Highway 61 South near Demby Drive. When they arrived, they discovered a man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as Jaylon Walker of Hermanville.
Police said the department is conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officials stated that investigators are working to gather all available facts and ensure a complete review of the incident.
