MISSISSIPPI — A crash in Hinds County left one woman dead and her sister seriously injured Saturday evening, according to authorities.
The collision happened around 5 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the intersection of Dry Grove Road and Lebanon Pine Grove Road. Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones identified the victims as Loretta Steele and Ora Steele.
Jones said Loretta Steele died from her injuries, while her sister, Ora, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
