OHIO — A teenager was killed and several others injured in a crash on Highway 98 Saturday morning, according to authorities.
The wreck happened between Mahned and New Augusta when a pickup truck hauling a trailer collided with an SUV. Officials said all six victims were in the SUV, while the driver of the pickup was not injured.
A teenager in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. A child was airlifted to USA Hospital in Mobile, Alabama, for treatment. Four adults were also injured in the crash.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol, New Augusta Volunteer Fire Department, Beaumont Fire Department, and Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Officials said the SUV has since been removed, but motorists should expect minor delays in the eastbound lane.
