MISSISSIPPI — A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting Monday afternoon at an apartment complex in Yazoo City.
According to The Yazoo Herald, the shooting happened just before 1:30 p.m. on March 9, 2026, at the Grayston Apartments on West Second Street in Yazoo City.
Ricky Shivers identified the victim as Jeffrey Johnson, 22.
Jacob Sheriff said two people were taken into custody for questioning in connection with the incident.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
