MISSISSIPPI — Jackson police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in a wooded area, according to authorities.
Jackson Police Department Chief and Hinds County Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Tyree Jones said officers responded on Jan. 10, 2026, to the 5100 block of Livingston Road near Forest Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an unidentified male victim in a wooded area suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
