NORTH CAROLINA — A Belhaven man was killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle crash involving a deer, authorities said.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred around 6:55 a.m. on Pungo Creek Road.
Brandon Alan Batchler, 31, was traveling north when his motorcycle struck a deer in the roadway.
Batchler was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
