MICHIGAN — A 27-year-old man died early Saturday morning following a motorcycle crash in Ionia County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the scene around 1:55 a.m. on August 2 along East Main Street, between Beardsley Road and East Stage Road. When they arrived, CPR was already in progress.
Investigators say the man was riding eastbound when he lost control, went off the road, and struck a mailbox. He suffered critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
