
OHIO — A 35-year-old man was killed late Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 90 in Bratenahl, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-90 near the Cleveland border. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and Cleveland EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police identified the man as Keith Hicks. According to Bratenahl police, Hicks was walking along the westbound lanes of the highway when he was hit by a vehicle.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police said the driver was interviewed, and the vehicle involved has been impounded as part of the ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
The westbound lanes of I-90 were closed for several hours following the crash and reopened around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
