OHIO — One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 270 North in Hilliard Wednesday morning.
According to Hilliard police dispatchers, officers received a call reporting a crash around 6:25 a.m.
Hilliard police Sgt. Kris Settles confirmed that one person was pronounced dead on I-270 North near the Cemetery Road and Fishinger Road exit. Police said on social media that the victim was struck by a vehicle. The person’s identity has not been released.
Additional details about the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
All lanes of I-270 North were closed from Interstate 70 to Tuttle Crossing for several hours during the morning commute. The highway reopened around 10:10 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
