GEORGIA — Authorities are investigating a fatal incident that occurred Tuesday evening in Columbus.
Emergency crews, including police, EMS, and fire personnel, responded to the 7400 block of River Crest Drive at approximately 6:02 p.m. after receiving reports that someone had been run over by construction equipment.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office also responded to the incident.
No further information about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the incident has been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
